Enrique Hernandez, Jr., 62, of Philadelphia, passed away on April 9, 2026 at home.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, and most recently residing in Philadelphia, Enrique was a proud United States Navy veteran who dedicated many years of his professional life to working with the State of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection.
He is survived by his father, Enrique Hernandez, Sr.; mother, Joaquina (Carmelo) Salgado; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline and Luis Rivera, and Felicia Hernandez; brothers, Joe Hernandez and Tom (Wanda) Hernandez; a sister, Maria (Benjamin) Soto; two granddaughters, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.
A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m.
Interment with honors will follow in Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, North Hanover Twp., NJ 08562.
