Dorothy Federkiewicz, 91, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2020. A lifelong area resident, she was a graduate of Cathedral High School. Dorothy worked for the State of New Jersey, Dept. of Labor & Industry retiring after 41 years of service.
She was a longtime St. Hedwig’s and St. Raphael’s parishioner, a member of the St. Raphael’s Altar Rosary Society and their Elderberry Club, and a was former Elk Auxiliary member. She was also a member of the Lawrence and Hamilton Senior Clubs. Dorothy enjoyed bowling and dancing for many years and was a dedicated volunteer. She also enjoyed making memories with her family and friends, especially her new family at Care One, who knew her as the “Dancing Queen”. But most of all, she loved to travel and vacation with her late husband Edward
Predeceased by her parents, Andrew J. Sr., and Mary (Kork) Kascik; her husband Edward Federkiewicz; her brothers, Andrew Kascik, Jr., and Robert Kascik; she is survived by her nephews, Andrew Kascik III, Robert Kascik, and Christopher Kascik; nieces, Cindy Graziano and spouse Gary, and Kitty Bartzak and spouse Steven, and Karen Carn; sister-in-law, Josephine Maziarz Kascik; great nephews Gary Graziano and Marc Graziano; great nieces, Kathleen Bartzak and McKenna Bartzak; and beloved great great niece and nephew, Hailee Marie and Gary Hunter Graziano.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 11:00am at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton. Visitation for family and friends will be prior to the service from 10:00-11:00am at the Memorial Home.
Interment will follow in St. Hedwig’s cemetery, Eggert’s Crossing Road, Ewing, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Inter Faith Caregivers of Mercer County, 3635 Quakerbridge Rd, Hamilton Township, NJ 08619.
