Donald Dickson passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 11, surrounded by the love and memories of those who cherished him most. He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Born into a loving family, Donald was the beloved son of the late Thomas S. and Anna Gaydos Dickson. He shared a lifelong partnership with Anthony Montaldi, whose love, companionship, and unwavering support meant so much throughout his life. Together, they created a life filled with laughter, friendship, and cherished memories.
Donald had a true passion for cooking and baking and found great happiness in bringing people together through food, conversation, and love. Whether preparing a favorite meal for family or enjoying nights out dining with friends, he treasured every opportunity to create lasting memories with those closest to him. His warm personality and generous spirit made everyone feel welcome in his presence. Donald’s other enjoyments in life included the Las Vegas and Atlantic City casinos, cruises, his Pocono weekend home, Broadway shows, skiing, bowling, collecting Marilyn Monroe Memorabilla, watching nostalgic movies, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also served in the NJ National Guard for Six years.
Donald began his lifelong career with the US Federal Government as an Auditor with the Selective Service System, and later working with the USDA Food and Nutrition Service.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gregory Dickson. He is survived by his loving siblings, Kathleen Noto and Douglas Dickson; his devoted nephews and niece, Luciano Noto, Thomas Noto, and Josephine Noto; as well as many cherished great-nieces and great-nephews. He also leaves behind many loving cousins, dear friends, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness and gentle heart.
Donald’s loving spirit, warm smile, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

My Dearest Cousin Donald:
How I wish I got to know you and the rest of the family more than just stories told by my mom, before she passed. I never understood why my mother never associated with the Gaydos side of the family. I feel very cheated to think that there was a whole set of relatives that I could have grown up to know and be a part of their lives. It really meant a lot to me when you accepted my friends request and we chatted about your mom and her sisters and brothers. I will always cherish chatting with you and miss our family connection! 😞❤️🙏 Rest in Pease my dear cousin, Donald. Until w…
Don, It was a pleasure getting to know you after you moved into Fernbrooke. You will be missed.
Uncle Donald , I always admired how you spoke your mind and the kindness you showed to everyone around you. I will forever cherish the special memories you created during the holidays and the love you brought to our family. You will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Love you,
Josie
I will miss our phone calls and our games of Words With Friends more than words can say. Thank you for being not only my brother, but also one of my closest friends. I’ll carry those memories with me forever.
Love,
Kathy
Donald, I hope you are reading this from up there. Since moving out of Trenton five years ago, you always accused me of losing track of your Marilyn Monroe anniversary clock and not knowing if it was in our moving boxes in the garage. And I came back saying I opened every box and it was not to be found. This was an ongoing argument for at least five years, monthy, and as recent as last week. Well, guess what, Mr Dickson? At the funeral home the other day, i brought up subject of your Marilyn Monroe collectibles, and Kathy responded that she doesn’t want anything because she has a MM Clock. And, yes, it's that anniversary clock wi…
