Dino Lucchesi, 96, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 19, 2024 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren.
Born in San Pietro, Italy he immigrated to the USA in 1969 with his family and settled in Yardville. Dino was employed by Hamilton Township Board of Education and retired after 22 years of service. In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, and making wine, and was a self-taught butcher. Dino loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He looked forward to annual summertime trips to his hometown in Italy with his wife Fiorina. Even after her passing, he would travel to Italy to be with family. He lived a good long healthy life. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, Francesco and Assunta (Marghella) Lucchesi; his beloved wife, Fiorina Ruggiero Lucchesi; 3 brothers, Saverio, Frank, and Mario Lucchesi; and his grandson Massimo Salerno; he is survived by his 4 children, Susan Paglione and husband Robert, Guido Lucchesi and wife Lauretta, Ada Salerno and husband, Matteo and Frank Lucchesi; a brother, Guido Lucchesi and wife Emma; sister, Ada DeMarco; 9 grandchildren, Dana (Brian) Valentino Brewer, Cristina Valentino, Briana Lucchesi, Dean Lucchesi, Marco (Nicole) Salerno, Adriana Salerno, Sabrina (Josh) Lucchesi Pacifico, Enzo Lucchesi and Dante Lucchesi;
5 great grandchildren, Alessia, Valentina and Biagio Brewer, Jack Pacifico, and Alina Salerno; many nieces, nephews, cousins as well as many other relatives and dear friends
Funeral services will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday February 24, 2024 at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent DePaul Church 555 Yardville-Allentown Road,
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home
Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mausoleum, Hamilton.
