Diane Sharley, 67, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Bordentown, NJ, Diane was a lifelong resident of the area. She dedicated over 40 years of service to the State of New Jersey, working with the Department of Health and Human Services before her retirement.
Diane found joy in the simple pleasures of life — dining out, enjoying movies, solving puzzles of all kinds, and watching crime dramas, with Blue Bloods being among her favorites. She had a deep appreciation for pop music from the 1960s through the 1980s, and her vibrant spirit was matched by her love for her family. A devoted mother, partner, sister, and friend, Diane will be remembered for her warmth, loyalty, and the profound impact she had on those who knew her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Robert J. Prichard, Jr. and Dorothy (Crane) Prichard, as well as her husband, Gary Sharley.
Diane is survived by her beloved son, David J. Lawrence; her life partner and caregiver, Mark C. Lawrence; her siblings, Betty Hammack, Patricia Nicholson, and Robert J. Prichard III and his wife, Debbie; her sister-in-law, Debbie VanBuskirk; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and neighbors.
A gathering to celebrate Diane’s life will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
