David F. Ogonofski, Jr.

May 9, 1931 - August 12, 2026

David F. Ogonofski, Jr., 95 , of Hamilton, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at home surrounded by the love of his family.

Born and raised in Trenton, David was a lifelong resident of the Trenton/Hamilton Township area. A proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, he later enjoyed a long and dedicated career with RCA/Lockheed Martin, retiring after 30 years of service.

David had a lifelong love of baseball. In his younger years, he served as captain of the baseball team at The Hun School and went on to play minor league baseball for St. Louis Cardinals. While serving in Korea, he continued his passion for the game, playing for the American team while stationed there.

In his spare time, David enjoyed the simple things in life, especially smoking his pipe with a good cup of coffee, and trips to Atlantic City.  He had a green thumb and took great pride in gardening, and he was always happy rooting for his beloved New York Mets. Above all else, David treasured his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents, David F., Jr. and Genevive Ogonofski, his beloved wife, Margaret C. Ogonofski; daughter Kathy Keevish and Patricia Garrett; and granddaughters,  Jessica Lynn Keevish and Christina Lynn Keevish; he is survived by his grandchildren, Nicole K., Melissa Keevish and Bobby (Candace Boyle) Keevish; a brother Robert (Barbara) Ogonofski; 6 great grandchildren, Amelia, Wyatt, RJ, Darian, Kevin and Gabby; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad- Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street Hamilton, New Jersey.

Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Maggie Edwards, officiating.

Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Byzantine Catholic cemetery #3 Hamilton, NJ.
