Crucita Camilo

May 10, 1938 - February 21, 2024



Crucita Camilo, 85, of Trenton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.


Born in Manati, Puerto Rico, she came to New York in 1955, then moved her family to the Trenton area in 1971, residing in Trenton ever since.  She was employed with Cartex in Morrisville, PA, and retired after more than 25 years of service.  In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and going to the casinos.  She liked to spend time outdoors, enjoying all of the plants and flowers.  But most of all, family time was most important to her.  She loved quality family time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.


Predeceased by her parents; her brother, David Alicea; daughter-in-law, Carol Camilo; son, Gilbert Camilo; and her loving husband, Angel Camilo; she is survived by her son, Angel Camilo; her 4 daughters, Diana Camilo, Irma Camilo, Iris (Anthony) Sherman, and Joann (Christopher) Robinson; brother, Martin (Elba) Alicea; sister, Jovin Hernandez; her grandchildren, Jessica Camilo, Gilbert Camilo, Jr., Leonardo Zayas, Ricardo Zayas, Julian (Carmen) Gonzalez, Monique Rosado, Melonie Rosado, Bianca Robinson, Brittany Robinson, Michael (Taylor) Sherman, Angelique Sherman, Arianna Sherman; great grandchildren, Jayanna Burnett, Jaycob Burnett, Jeremiah Burke, Mason Rosado, Sienna Sherman, the twins, Michael Sherman, Jr. and Jocelyn Sherman, Marenza, LJ Mayas, Catalina Mayas, Noah, and Juliana Gonzales; as well as many nieces, nephew, other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Home, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton.


A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m.  


Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton.
