Colleen A. Dombroski, 63, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her devoted family.

Born in Trenton and raised in Yardville, Colleen was a lifelong area resident and a proud graduate of Hamilton High West, Class of 1981. She began her career with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department before dedicating more than 40 years of service to the State of New Jersey, retiring in 2023.

Colleen had a warm heart, a beautiful smile, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—relaxing on her balcony with a good book, enjoying shopping trips, bowling nights, and completing jigsaw puzzles. Family meant everything to Colleen. She treasured the wonderful times she spent with her loving daughter, Amanda and especially enjoyed visiting her in London.  Those visits were filled with laughter, conversation, and cherished memories. She also held dear the precious moments shared with her beloved goddaughter, Sarah, whose presence always brought her great joy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Marion (Bice) Jeannette. Colleen will be deeply missed by her loving daughter, Amanda Dombroski and partner, Simon King; her sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Trask “JR” Lyons; her stepmother, Clara Jeannette; and her many siblings: Theresa (Joe) Cook, Daniel (Lynn) Jeannette, Frank Dempsky (Jeri Ware), Anthony (Kim) Jeannette, Jr., Kathlyn (Nicholas) Breen, Victoria (Joe) Smith, Sharon Jeannette, and Debra Jeannette (Tom Donnelly). She also leaves behind her faithful pup, Watson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, one great niece, many cousins, extended family, and countless dear friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Colleen’s name to Fox Chase Cancer Center, Office of Institutional Advancement, 333 Cottman Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19111, or online at https://www.foxchase.org/giving.

A celebration of Colleen’s life will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.

A prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m.
