November 23, 1952 - June 4, 2025

Carole M. Anton passed away unexpectedly on June 4, 2025, at the age of 72. Born in Columbus, Ohio, Carole spent her early years in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey, before moving with her family to Brick, New Jersey, at the age of eight. She later graduated from Brick Township High School.
Before retiring for health reasons, Carole worked as a paralegal and was co-owner of the Hightstown Luncheonette in Hightstown, New Jersey, for several years. She was married to Carl E. Jones for 39 years, having met him while working part-time at the Town & Country Diner in Bordentown, New Jersey. From the moment Carl laid eyes on her, he said, "I am going to marry this woman," and he did—beginning a lifelong partnership filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. After living in East Windsor for twenty years, they relocated a few miles up the road to Roosevelt, New Jersey, where she resided until her passing.
A devoted mother and stepmother, Carole deeply loved her daughter, Stephanie Blunt, and took great pride in their bond. She lovingly raised her two stepchildren, Teheran Jones and Summer Jones, with warmth, care, and unwavering devotion. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Serena Anton, Teheran Jones, Jr., Christian Jones, and Amaya Jones, who brought immense joy and pride to her life. She especially enjoyed sharing heartfelt advice with her son-in-law, Richard Blunt, and daughter-in-law, Brenda Hernandez—always with love and the best intentions at heart.
In her younger years, Carole enjoyed spending time with friends, hosting parties, and traveling across the United States. Carole had a genuine love for animals, especially dogs, and was a devoted dog mom, always treating them like her own children. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether shopping, exploring the Jersey Shore, or simply sharing a meal together—her favorite being a good burger.
Though her passing was unexpected, Carole faced her health challenges with steadfast determination, grace, and courage. Her strength and love left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family, friends, and all who were blessed to share in her life.
Her life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service for family and friends on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, 2141 South Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ 08610.
