Carole-Ann Schwarz

July 26, 1938 - May 3, 2022

Carole-Ann Schwarz, 83, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Brookdale Senior Living in Westampton, NJ surrounded by her loving family.


Born in Long Island City, and raised in Rosedale Long Island, NY she moved to Hightstown, NJ in 1960, and a few years later to Yardville, where she has lived in Hamilton Township ever since. She was employed at Dunham’s Dept. Store until they closed and worked partime at Mercer County Community College. She also worked for the State of New Jersey, Dept. of Labor for many years until her retirement.


Carole-Ann enjoyed walking, crafting, reading, sewing, gardening, going to concerts and on adventures with her girls and their yearly trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show, as well as trips to Florida and Beach Haven West and LBI. She loved to shop and couldn’t pass up a good sale.


Predeceased by her parents, Ervin Tobias and Grace (Kolm) Gerhardt; her infant brother, George Gerhardt; son-in-law, Thomas Steer; and significant other Norman Bruce; she is survived by her children and their spouses, Maureen (Jack) Simpson, Carole-Lynn (Mark) Karlik, Nancy Steer (Thomas Carroll), and Frederick Schwarz, Jr.; brother, Edward (Mary) Gerhardt; close friend and companion Warren Connelley, best friend Carol Giblisco; grandchildren, Sarah Simpson (Andrew Baker), Megan (Adrian) Devine, and Mark Karlik; great grandchildren, Gabriel Johnson and Lilian Devine; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held Monday May 9, 2021 from 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. at the

Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.


A prayer service will begin at 6:00 p.m. with local clergy officiating.


Burial will be private.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
