Carol A. Adams, of Hamilton, NJ, age 88, passed away on Sunday, September 7, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family at The Terraces in Lawrence, NJ.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, she was a proud graduate of Trenton High School, class of 1955. Carol settled in Hamiton, NJ where she raised her family with her former husband, John Adams. Carol had a successful career, working for Bell Telephone in her early years followed by employment with the State of New Jersey, Department of Higher Education, where she ultimately retired after more than two decades of service.
Carol was the heart of her family – mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Gigi, aunt, and loyal friend.
Daughter of the late Helen Roberts and John Such; and stepdaughter of the late, Harold Roberts; She is survived by her loving family, her son, Brian Adams and Angelique Zuniga of San Antonio, Texas; her daughter, Robin Adams of Hamilton, New Jersey; and her daughter, Sherri Faircloth and Les Faircloth of Leicester, North Carolina; her grandchildren, Ashley Adams, Brittany Adams, Austin (Samantha) Faircloth, Makenna (Caleb) Bailey, Tyler Adams; her great-grandchildren, Ayden Adams, Carson Schultz and Harper Bailey. She leaves behind her dear nieces and nephews, Kathy (Drew) Olex, Janet (Mike) Dillon, Shirley (Buddy) Suozzi, Tommy Del Vecchio, Daniel Carlisi, and Mark (Yola) Carlisi along with several cousins and many life-long dear friends, Fran Severino, Leona Runion, Olga Budd, Linda Carnasale, Carole Falkowski, Tim Floodman, the staff at Family Café and Pastor April of Memorial Baptist Church of Yardville, NJ.
Some of Carol’s greatest joys were Bingo, trips to AC, Broadway shows, shopping, the queen of Kohl’s, Friday dates at the Robbinsville Senior Center, playing cards with her friends and family, and trips to visit kids and grandkids in Texas, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Carol enjoyed LBI for many years as the family boated at Shelter Harbor Marina. She was a devoted Phillies fan, and liked to watch Golf, The Bachelor and The Bachelorette along with watching Ice Skating. Carol always had room for one more at the dinner table when the kids were younger, entertaining many of the Jamaica Way crew. Mom had a beautiful smile, she lit up the room with her infectious laugh and had many joys in her lifetime.
The Adams and Faircloth families extends their heartfelt thanks to Capital Health – Trenton medical team, CVCU and 2nd floor Cardiology teams. The Terraces of Lawrence Assisted Living and Serenity Hospice Care of NJ for their exceptional care and compassion in Carol’s final days. A special note of gratitude goes out to cousins, nieces and nephew, Janet and Mike Dillon and Shirley and Buddy Suozzi for their unwavering love, support and care.
A Celebration of Life party will be held in the coming weeks.
