Brian G. Newbon

March 13, 1959 - March 25, 2025

Brian G. Newbon, 66, of Hamilton Township, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Capital Health Systems at Hopewell, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Brian was a proud lifelong resident of the Hamilton area. He dedicated more than 30 years of his life to serving his community with unwavering dedication, retiring as a Captain from the Hamilton Fire Company, a role that reflected not only his skill and leadership, but his deep passion for helping others. Most recently, Brian worked part-time as a bus aid for the Hopewell Township School District.

Outside of his career, Brian found his greatest joys in the beauty of the outdoors. He loved hunting and camping, but it was on the water where he felt most at peace. Fishing, especially bass and freshwater fishing, was his true passion. His love for the sport took him on adventures across the country, where he cherished the opportunity to cast a line in beautiful places and compete in bass fishing tournaments, always in pursuit of that next exciting catch and the memories made along the way.

Brian was predeceased by his parents, Blanche and Albert Newbon; his brother, John Loyal Newbon, Sr.; his sisters, Patricia and Fern; and his stepsons, Brian Jones and Benjamin Jones.

He leaves behind a loving legacy and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 37 years, Betty (Carroll) Newbon; his stepson, Michael (Alexis) Jones; his brother, Thomas Newbon and wife, Virginia (Gini); his sister-in-law, Jacki Newbon; seven cherished grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Ronald (Mitzi) Carroll, and Jeff (Lisa) Carroll; 2 beloved dogs, Sky and Bella; along with many dear nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and neighbors whose lives he touched.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville.

Funeral services will begin promptly at  9:45 a.m. Monday, March 31, 2025, at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home.

Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Brian was a good friend and coworker at Advanced Auto Parts both store and warehouse. If he wasn't taking an order for parts, he was always looking at places down south to retire and applying to the latest fishing tournament. He'll be missed forever, now he's casting and releasing his forever largemouth bass. RIP !!!
