March 13, 1956 - June 13, 2026

Brian E. “Buzzy” Carvale, 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at home surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Buzzy was a lifelong resident of Groveville and a well-known and respected member of the community he proudly called home. Buzzy dedicated 35 years of faithful and distinguished service to Mercer County, starting out as a Sheriff’s Officer before ultimately transferring to Hamilton where he served as a Motorcycle Officer until his retirement in 2013. Throughout his career, he earned the admiration of both his fellow officers and the residents he served through his unwavering commitment, integrity, and compassion. After “retirement,” Buzzy was employed at the Christina Seix Academy and also worked for Tri-Shield as a security officer.

Among his many accomplishments, Buzzy proudly served as a 9/11 first responder, and also responded to New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina, answering the call during two of our nation's most difficult times. His courage, selflessness, and dedication to public service reflected the values by which he lived his life.

Buzzy was deeply involved in supporting the law enforcement community. He served as a committee member for the Blue Mass, which is a mass to Thank God for the sacrifice and service to the communities given by police officers and Law Enforcement officials at every level. He was the Past Chairman of the Mercer County Conference of the PBA and served as a Delegate for Hamilton PBA #66. He was a strong supporter of the Hamilton Police Athletic League (PAL), generously contributing to programs that benefited local youth. In recognition of his lasting impact on the community and his commitment to helping young people succeed, the Hamilton PAL established an annual scholarship in his name.

In his spare time, Buzzy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on his beloved New York Giants, and L.A. Dodgers.  Above all else, however, he cherished the time he spent with his family. Nothing brought him greater happiness than being surrounded by those he loved, especially his treasured grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart. His legacy of service, generosity, and devotion to family will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Predeceased by his parents, Anthony E. Sr. and Dorothy (Warren) Carvale; and his brother, Anthony Carvale, Jr.; he is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Maryanne (Stone) Carvale; son, Anthony Carvale and his wife, Amanda; daughter, Kelsey Webb and her husband, Jared; grandchildren, Anthony and Lennon Carvale and Ellis Webb; a nephew, Troy Carvale and his wife, Julia; as well as many other relatives, dear friends and colleagues.
