Arlene E. Amisson, 82, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Serenity Hospice Inpatient Unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.


Born and raised in the Chambersburg section of Trenton, Arlene moved to Yardville in the early 1960s, where she made her home for many years. She was employed with the American Legion, retiring after more than 35 years of dedicated service.


Arlene enjoyed traveling and especially looked forward to spending her summers in Avalon, NJ, as well as memorable trips to Bar Harbor, Maine. She also loved visiting Cape May, where dinners at the Lobster House and the Ugly Mug were always something special to her.


The holidays were an especially meaningful time for Arlene. She cherished all of the traditions that came along with them, from cooking and baking favorite dishes to entertaining family and friends. She loved bringing everyone together and creating warm memories around the table, making the holidays a special time for those she loved.


Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Rose (Ehas) Bell; her beloved husband, Leon W. Amisson; her son, Alan Amisson; and her grandchildren, Courtney Amisson and Nathan Amisson; she is survived by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and David Bader; son, Ronald Amisson; and her pride and joy grandson, Jordan Bader; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.


Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.  at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.


A brief prayer service will take place at 11:00 a.m.


Burial will take place privately and at the convenience of the family.
