Anthony L. Marchetti, Jr,

March 22, 1950 - May 25, 2026

Anthony L. Marchetti  Jr, 76, of Bordentown, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Trenton, NJ, he was a lifelong area resident. Throughout his life, he worked in several fields, including many years with the Trenton Times Newspaper, many local new car dealerships, Quik Chek, and most recently in sales with Mattress Firm, where he enjoyed meeting and helping people.

He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus Council 6213, serving as a 3rd Degree Knight, and was also a longtime member of the Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085. In his spare time, he enjoyed relaxing, spending time at the Jersey Shore with his family, and cheering on his favorite football team, the San Francisco 49ers.

Predeceased by his parents, Anthony L. Marchetti , Sr. and Shirley (Maruska) Marchetti; and his canine companion, Teddy; he is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Beverly Chmielewski; daughters, Angela L. Marchetti, and Melissa L. Marchetti; brother, Hugo Mercantini and his wife, Patricia ; sisters, Janice Buote, and Joan Mercantini; brother-in-law, Julius G. Chmielewski and his wife, Susan; four grand pups: Uncle Paulie, Fozzie Bear, Ann Perkins, Logan, and a grand cat, Louie; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends, and two special cousins, Richard Marchetti and Michael Marchetti.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026  from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.

A prayer service will begin at 12:00 p.m.

Cremation will take place privately.
