Anthony A. Scaramozzino, 96, of Hamilton, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 23, 2022.
Born June 25, 1926 in Barnesboro PA. He was a proud US Army Veteran, having served as a SGT in the 4th Infantry Division in WWII where he fought in Rhineland and Central Europe. He was decorated with a purple heart, American Theater Ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 2 Bronze Stars and a WWII Occupation Medal, Germany.
He was an avid New York Yankee baseball, and New York Knicks fan who enjoyed golfing for more than 30 years. His proudest achievements were in the many sculptures he created of athletes and contemporary images that moved him.
He leaves behind 4 children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Anthony was a successful businessman owning and operating several hair salons in the Mercer County area, and continued to support many of his loyal customers well into his late 80’s.
Services were private and burial took place at Brig. General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Services were under the direction of the Buklad-Merlino Memorial Homes, Hamilton.
