January 19, 1946 - July 6, 2024
Anna Maria Zeier, 78, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 6, 2024, while at home surrounded by the love of her family.
Born in Trenton, Anna Maria was a lifelong area resident. She graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science and was employed as a Pharmacist. Anna Maria started her career at Carter Wallace and freelanced at many other facilities in the area. She spent more than 18 years at Mercer Medical Center and 5 years at St. Lawrence Rehab Center.
In her free time, Anna Maria enjoyed cross stitch, quilting, and watching her children play all kinds of sports. She was always in the middle of a great mystery book or show, solving a puzzle, or watching Star Trek. Anna Maria was an excellent baker and great cook who threw phenomenal birthday parties with amazing hide and seek games. She was known for her Halloween and cookie parties (and the frequently resulting flour fights thereof) by all of her children’s friends. She loved celebrating holidays, particularly Christmas and feeding everyone who entered her home. All were welcome – friends as family and family as friends.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Virginia (Piersanti) Astore; and sisters, Angela Maria Astore and Mary Jane Darbee; she is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Jonathan Zeier; 4 children, Jonna Zeier Normington (Tim Normington), Jennifer Zeier (Steven Martinez), Melissa Zeier (Steven Bearer) and Christopher Zeier (Nicole Kearney); 2 brothers, Anthony Astore and Pat Astore (Lori Astore); her sister in law, Missy Zeier; and her brother in law Brian Darbee; 4 grandchildren, Snow, Fox, Loughlin, and Cosimo; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
