Anna M. Demko

August 4, 1929 – December 18, 2021

Anna was welcomed into the world by her parents, Katherine and Andrew Rotter, on Sunday, August 4, 1929, at Trenton, New Jersey. She was soon joined by her beloved sister and brother, Katherine (Both) and Andrew. Baptized at Saint Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church, Anna first met Andrew J. Demko, whom was to be her husband, upon attending the first grade at Saint Stephen’s School. Marrying in 1954 they began a special life together, raising two children, their daughter Katherine (Pryce) and son Drew, and were blessed with Grandchildren, Jennifer (Weissman) and George Pryce Jr. Anna is further survived by her Son-in-law George Pryce Sr, Brother-in-law Steven Both, two nieces Elizabeth Both and Anna Ervin, Sister-in-law, Eileen Demko, several cousins, Godchildren, and extended family & friends.

Influenced by her Father, with vocal coach, Ms. Lilly Oris, Anna began a lifelong passion for music and song, as a Soprano she performed in English, Hungarian and Italian at many benefit concerts, radio programs, Summer productions at Washington Crossing’s Theatre In The Park, New Jersey’s War Memorial Auditorium and the Saint Stephen’s Choir. Throughout the years Anna led, served, and supported charitable endeavors including the Deborah Heart & Lung Center. Professionally Anna was employed in the Accounting Departments of Monsanto & Co. and retired from the Prosecutor’s Office of Mercer County. She had a wonderfully dry sense of humor, was an avid theater and opera buff, loved to travel, enjoyed hosting family gatherings, played a good hand of cards, and spent Winters in Palm Beach, Florida.

Anna’s last days were at home in New Jersey surrounded by her family and friends, talking, laughing, and telling stories of a joy filled life together. Anna’s strong Catholic faith supported a serene passing on Saturday, December 18, 2021 while listening to her operatic favorites.

Please join Anna’s family on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ.
