Alexander W. Buzgo, 86, of Yardville, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 while at Avalon Rehabilitation and Care Center, Hamilton.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident, and graduate of Dayton University. He was employed with RCA for more than 30 years before going to work at Lockheed Martin, and then retiring from Epitax in Ewing. He holds a US Patent # 4408320A, "spacer for use interesting information on recorded discs". Alexander was a very active volunteer with S.O.S. (Senior Outreach Services) in Cream Ridge. He initiated the Tracking Bracelet Program for dementia patients and enjoyed driving Seniors to their appointments and errands. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing, and spending time outdoors.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Predeceased by his parents, Alexander M. and Vilma (Sabo) Buzgo; his sister, Maryann Fiumenaro; and his beloved wife, Barbara H. (Henry) Buzgo; he is survived by his 5 children, Buzzy and Gina Buzgo, James Buzgo, Patrick and Denise Buzgo, Barbie and David Beym, and Christopher and Jean Buzgo; Linda Buzgo; a sister, Vilma Chiarello; 10 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Buklad-Merlino Yardville Memorial Home, 30 Yardville-Allentown Road, Yardville, NJ 08620.
A prayer service will begin at 4:00 p.m. with local clergy officiating.
Burial will be private.
